BT-4 Delta Elite Paintball Gun review

The BT-4 Delta Elite Paintball Gun was designed to resemble the MP-5SD submachine gun. The BT-4 Delta Elite is fitted with a sliding stock, which allows you to adjust the gun’s length to your preference depending on the situation.

The gun comes with an Apex barrel that allows you to shoot from longer distances, make drop shots and hook shots to the left and to the right. The gun's dummy magazine has no functionality but adds charm to the gun's design and acts as a fore grip.

The BT-4 Delta Elite paintball gun is now officially licensed by Heckler and Koch, the company that designed and produced the MP5 series of submachine guns, and it is one of the most prized guns among paintball amateurs and professionals alike.

The good

The BT-4 Delta Elite is one of the best amongst paintball markers currently available on the market. The prominent components of this gun are its Rip-Clip loader, E-Grip, and the Apex barrel. The Rip-Clip loader is designed to operate in three different speed modes: normal, fast, and fastest.

The Rip-Clip loader complements the various firing modes at which the E-Grip can be set. The semi-automatic and automatic firing modes on the E-Grip allow ramping at a rate of 10 and 13 balls per second.

This gun is also one of the most accurate on the market, and you can hit targets from up to 120 feet away without even using the Apex barrel that comes with the unit.

The Apex barrel gives the gun the ability to take longer shots. The barrel also gives you the convenience of firing hook shots and drop shots. Hook shots can be directed either to the right or the left depending on how you adjust the gun. You can also use the Apex barrel to fire normal shots by leaving it in its stock position.

The bad

The BT-4 Delta Elite is a bit heavy and you may need to use the combination of a sling and the remote line to work around the gun's weight. In addition, the gun uses electronic components, and these components are not especially designed to face extreme weather conditions.

This is a major drawback for players who like to play in heavy rain or snow. You’ll have to make sure that the gun is not submerged in water or left out in the rain for long periods of time or else some of its electronic components might get damaged beyond repair.

The other issue with this gun is that the E-Grip requires a 9V battery for it to work and the battery can get drawn out pretty quickly. The E-Grip can use up to two 9V batteries in 3 hours, which can get pretty annoying in the long run.

And please note that since this is an elite marker, the BT-4 will cost you. However, it is to be expected with a gun of this quality.

Our verdict

Though the BT-4 Delta Elite is a bit pricey, this gun is definitely worth its price. But please note that if you’re a beginner, this marker might be a bit hard to maneuver. However, this gun is the gun of choice for many professional paintball and MilSim players around the world.

Firing shoots with the Apex barrel can be quite overwhelming at first, but once you get a hang of it, this gun is a breeze to use. The Apex barrel gives you the convenience of firing long range shots, hook shots, and drop shots which adds versatility to this gun.

The combination of the Rip-Click loader and E-Grip gives you the ability to fire shots at a higher rate. This gun is also very easy to clean and maintain. All in all, the BT-4 Delta Elite is definitely a great choice for intermediate and advanced players, or beginners who want to step it up a notch.
